This game is awesome. If your skeptical like I was, then rent it… like I did. This game is based off an XBox 360 mini-game that really took off. It’s hard to describe other then it’s a natural classic. Geometry Wars is the Asteroids of today, but to say that is really an understatement. There is numerous reasons this is a hit. Nothing can describe it. It is just one of those games that you can easily pick up any time and simply get lost in it. Hours seem like minutes from the moment you start.
To get an idea of the game play, imagine Asteroids. Increase the playing field, pick up the speed, add hundreds of fast moving enemies and you’ve just about got it. Throw in a personal helper bot that has 9 special abilities that you can level up and you’re half way there. The levels are intense the moment you start and keep going.
Geometry Wars: Galaxies sucks you in. If you’re leery of buying another Wii-dud… then at least do yourself the favor of renting and see for yourself. This is great for younger generation who missed the classics and for us who didn’t. Great title.
